Custom Stick Dulcimer with Box
This product is a fully playable mountain dulcimer! It is one of my stick dulcimers attached to a basic 3/16" plywood box. This is designed to be a cost effective instrument, great for experimenting and travel. You can see a demo here:
With your purchase, you can customize it however you want. Before you order, choose the following (Which can affect the price):
-wood type for the fretboard (oak or walnut)
-number of strings, along with tuning
-sound holes (I'm willing to try pretty much anything for sound holes, within the limitations of my equipment. We can discuss sound hole design before or after placing an order. )
Upon checkout, you can choose the following options (which do not affect the price):
-VSL (the length from the nut to the bridge)
-frets (diatonic, some extra frets, or fully chromatic)
-tuning peg color (white or black)
-fret marker locations
I typically can ship out a custom order in 4-6 weeks. If you have any questions at all, please feel free to contact me. When you do place an order, I will confirm all details with you before I start building. We can also discuss by email your preferred dimensions for the box.
