Custom Banjo Dulcimer
This product is a fully playable "banjo dulcimer"! It is one of my stick dulcimers, attached to a piece of 3/4" pine cut in the shape of a dulcimer, with a drum head made from a pop bottle. This is designed to be a cost effective instrument, great for experimenting and travel. It's a super fun way to try out the banjo sound on a mountain dulcimer! You can see a demo here:
All banjo dulcimers are made with a 26.5" VSL.
Upon ordering, you can choose the following options:
-Frets: diatonic, extra frets, or chromatic
-Fret markers
-Wood burned sound hole design (nothing too crazy please!)
-Tuning Peg Color: white or black
-Fretboard wood: oak or mahogany (I think mahogany will look better)
-Three or Four strings
-finish: I can leave it unfinished, or use danish wax over everything (which slightly darkens the color) and if you order it, also use Howard's feed-n-wax everywhere except the fretboard. These things help protect the wood.
Please allow 6-8 weeks for completion.
